What’s in Your Attic?

letters

Troup Together is building an archive of oral history interviews and documents related to the lynching of Austin Callaway and the times he lived in.  We will release a report later this year, Erasing Austin Callaway, that details the lynching and the community’s response to it.  Even after the report, though, this inquiry will remain open.

We need your help to get the story right.

What do you know?  What stories are in your family?  What is in that old box of letters in the attic?

Troup Together is looking for stories, documents, photographs, official records, and other material from the past–about Austin and others like him.   You may have a treasure to share.

Troup Together will visit you and listen to your story.  Contact us.
